Sonora, CA — Matthew Burgess and his two daughters are back where they belong … at home.
Burgess´ wife, Sara, contacted the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department late Saturday when Matthew and their two daughters failed to return from a drive into the forest.
Deputies, along with a number of friends, began the search. Sunday morning the threesome was found unharmed in the Deer Creek area north of Twain Harte.
Burgess told deputies he was traveling in the area when his truck became disabled. They spent the night in the truck and walked out in the morning.
