Groveland, CA — Eight farmworkers are recovering from injuries suffered in an early Tuesday morning accident on SR-132 east of Spring Creek Rd.
According to the Highway Patrol 35 year old Isidro Molina of Strathmore was the driver of a 2002 Chevrolet Express when he lost control of the vehicle shortly after midnight as it entered a curve in the roadway traveling at approximately 55-60 mph. The vehicle spun to the right and overturned on the roadway and subsequently rolled down an embankment.
Molina and six of his passengers were able to exit the vehicle. One of the passengers had to be extricated by Mariposa Fire personnel.
The vehicle was headed for a work site in the Groveland area.
All eight of the occupants were transported to Doctor´s Hospital in Modesto for minor to moderate injuries. Cause of the accident remains under investigation by the C.H.P.
