Sonora, CA — This summer Central Sierra Arts Council will offer its first Pre-College Summer Institute for the Visual Arts.
SIVA–1: The Heroic Journey/ Finding Our Artistic Eye & Voice will be offered from June 19th until June 30th, and will be limited to 12 students.
Organizers say the curriculum has been designed with California´s Visual Art Standards for Advanced High School grades 9-12.
The course instructor will be Cord Rawlinson, well-known for his work in Tuolumne County´s Arts-Reach-To-Schools Program where he has taught several artist residency programs.
Prospective students need to submit two art samples and a letter of interest to Central Sierra Arts Council, 48 S. Washington St, Sonora, on or before Thursday, May 25th.
