Yosemite National Park, CA — A flood warning remains in effect for the Merced River at Pohono Bridge in Yosemite National Park.
The National Weather Service says the flood warning will remain in effect through Thursday.
Historically when the river reaches flood stage, the western portion of North Pines campground, located at the east end of Yosemite Valley begins to flood.
Water is expected to rise to the base of the swinging bridge downstream from Chapel Meadow.
On Wednesday it is possible for water to top the swinging bridge, and overflow from Woski Pond will also flood Access Road which is Northside Drive leading out of the west entrance of the park.
