Sonora, CA — Cooler temperatures, scattered showers and fast rivers will continue in the Mother Lode during the next few days.
The National Weather Service says an unseasonably strong system will bring rain and thunderstorms to the foothills Sunday.
Temperatures are expected to average around 10 to 15 degrees below normal into early next week.
Even though cooler temperatures will slow the snow melt, area rivers and streams will continue to run high and fast.
Recreational boaters, swimmers, hikers, and campers should be extra careful during the hazardous conditions.
