San Andreas, CA — San Andreas residents shouldn´t worry if they see a little smoke in the area on Monday. It´s just the beginning of a summer long smoke testing series for the San Andreas Sanitary District.
District Manager Steve Schimp says the testing begins Monday and continues on and off through the summer.
The special non-toxic smoke is sent through the district´s sewer lines to identify and locate breaks, defects and improper connections. The breaks can allow storm water to overburden the system, which could result in overflows.
Affected residents will receive a notice with general information about the test.
Contact the district at (209) 754-3281 for more information.
