Twain Harte, CA — Get set for some cloudy water Tuesday in the downtown area of Twain Harte.
Dan Rico of the Twain Harte Fire Department says his crew will be testing the city´s fire hydrants tomorrow for a four hour period from 10AM to 2PM. Water will be somewhat cloudy in the Lilac Terrace and Cedar Pines Vista areas along with Ponderosa Drive and Black Hawk in the Highland area.
Purpose of the testing is to make sure the hydrants are working properly. In addition, every three years the hydrants are tested to see how high the department scores on the Insurance Service Organization scale. The higher the score, the lower the insurance premium that must be paid by the city.
Currently Twain Harte owns the best I.S.O. score in Tuolumne County.
