Sonora, CA — Tuolumne County primary election update; County Clerk Debi Russell confirms that with the exception of approximately 200 provisional ballots, all 2,277 absentee ballots have been tabulated.
So Paolo Maffei has wrapped up the District 2 Supervisor´ position with 50.2% of the vote … challenger Larry Sidmore finished with 48.46%.
In the District 3 race, Teri Murrison will be involved in a runoff but with 56 provisional votes remaining to be counted in this district, it´s still too early to determine Murrison´s opponent in November. It will be either Philip Balbuena or Ronald Hamilton. They are separated by only 15 votes.
And in the sheriff-coroner´s race, frontrunner Jim Mele finished with 49.33% of the vote so he will be involved in a runoff with Tom Memmer who finished with 25.43%.
