San Andreas, CA — Libraries in Calaveras County are receiving new computers thanks to a $9,000 grant from the state.
Monday the Board of Supervisors formally accepted the grant from the California State Library Foundation.
The money will pay to replace public Internet computers at the San Andreas, Copperopolis and West Point libraries.
Supervisor Victoria Erickson says $2,000 more has been added to the Copperopolis computer program.
Copperopolis resident John Feyerhern´s company donated $500, which he matched with a personal donation. Erickson matched both donations.
Erickson says people use the Copperopolis library computers a lot. So much so that sometimes there´s even a line of people.
