San Andreas, CA — 17-year-old Daniel Hawkins of San Andreas will be tried as an adult for allegedly robbing El Dorado Savings Bank last month.
The District Attorney´s Office confirmed that Thursday.
Hawkins is said to have robbed the San Andreas bank at gunpoint on May 15.
Not long after fleeing, he was captured by Calaveras County deputies at the nearby San Andreas Cemetery.
Hawkins pled not guilty. He will have a preliminary hearing in adult court at 1:30 p.m., June 27, in Department 3.
