San Andreas, CA — The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection has a new leader and he´s one of their own.
Tuolumne County Division Chief Michael Noonan was announced Monday as the new Unit Chief of CDF´s Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit.
Noonan grew up in Tuolumne City and graduated from Summerville High School, Columbia College and Fresno Pacific College.
Noonan is married with 8 children.
He replaces Chief Fred McVay who retired in March.
McVay will stay on board to help Noonan with the transition.
