Lake Camanche, CA — Campers expecting a quiet weekend at Lake Camanche in Calaveras County have another thing coming.
The atmosphere at the lake will be anything but serene once hundreds, maybe thousands of hip-hop music fans flood the campground for “The Gathering.”
Lake officials say “The Gathering” is an informal three-day party that has become an annual summer event.
