Sonora Regional Medical Center Looks At A New Possibility

Sonora, CA– Sonora Regional Medical Center may have something new to offer, the outpatient diagnostic imaging center.

Officials say they are studying the possibility of opening the center. The center would include state-of-the-art digital imaging equipment for a variety of medical diagnostic tests. Tests available would be an MRI, ultrasound, digital mammography, a diagnostic X-ray, and more.

Vice President of business planning and marketing, Doug Duffield says having the diagnostic center in place would double the amount of diagnostic equipment in the community.

He says with the new equipment, physicians will be better able to track a disease progression which allows the adjustment of treatment plans. This way, patients will have a better opportunity to “survive and thrive.”
