Hetch Hetchy Restoration Report Released

Sacramento, CA — A state report says it would cost between $3-10 billion to tear down a massive dam and restore Hetch Hetchy Valley in Yosemite National Park more than 80 years after it was flooded.

The study highlights the technical and legal challenges associated with dismantling the dam, draining the reservoir and replacing the water storage and electricity they provide.
