West Poingt, CA — An accident involving a large tree landed a 79-year-old West Point woman in a Modesto hospital with major injuries.
Highway Patrol reports indicate Mary Hertlein may have fallen asleep at the wheel on Highway 26 Wednesday afternoon.
CHP officials say Hertlein´s vehicle left the roadway and hit a large tree, causing the vehicle to overturn onto its roof.
