Frank P. Sanfilippo
Born: 5 July, 1936 – San Jose, California Attended School in San Jose until 1951 Moved to El Salvador with family Returned to US in 1953
Graduated from Sonora High School 1954
Served in US Navy 1954-1957 BA San Jose State University
Joined the US Air Force as a pilot in 1963. Flew combat missions in Southeast Asia. Served in several other overseas assignments: Retired in 1983 as Lt. Colonel.
Taught Spanish at Columbia College and Sonora HS: 1984 – 2007 Married Paulina S. Keel in 2004-present
Favorite activities: Guitar, tennis, flight adventures, and many car trips around the US with Paulina
Survived and so loved by: His wife, Paulina S. Sanfilippo, His Son, Richard Sanfilippo, Attanta,GA.(from late wife, Terry), Jeffrey E. Palhegyi (Clarissa), Jennifer K. Owen (Jimmy), Daniel S. Palhegyi (Kellie), Joshua C. Keel (Angela). Sisters: Eleanor Sanfilippo, Miami, FL., Florence Attard, Nantes, France, Margaret Lindmark (Rick) Pacific Grove,CA. He is also survived by: 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many students who still call him Senor Sanfilippo.
In his loving memory there will be a private Celebration of Life, attended by family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, Frank had requested donations to the Summerville High Schoof Tennis Team. So grateful.
