Ronald “Moons” Neilson passed away Saturday, September 2nd at his residence in Sonora, CA after a long up hill battle with cancer sent him home. Ronald was the definition of old school and a strong man in stature. He was a veteran of Vietnam from 68-69 and worked for PG&E for 37 years where he was known as moon pie. Ronald leaves his wife of 29 years Leslee and children Ryan and Stacie of who he would not let fail. He was known as “Poppa Ronnie” to 3 beautiful grandchildren, Gabriel, Aidan and Cruz which he cherished in every breath of every day. Ronald also helped raise Jarred and Rob treating them like family and showing everyone the real tributes of fatherhood. His siblings are brother Denny, a full hearted and loyal brother who resides in Israel, Kathy a great and wonderful sister who loved him to the end. Never a soul he has touched that hasn’t been conditioned for a better life. It will be a smaller and lesser place without you we know but in our sadness and darkness there is light until we meet again. You will be greatly missed and never forgotten, we love and miss you. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.
