Rancho Calaveras, CA — CAL Fire reports that earlier plans to conduct a prescribed burn near New Hogan Lake both today and tomorrow have been postponed.
The reason for the postponement wasn’t mentioned, but a storm system bringing the potential of heavy rain to the foothills is anticipated over the next few days.
CAL Fire was planning to finish its hazardous fuels reduction project that was within the community of Rancho Calaveras in the vicinity of Silver Rapids Road and Hogan Dam Road. Smoke was going to be visible.
