Hunter Fire Burns 21 Acres In Mariposa County

Mariposa County, CA — A vegetation fire burned 21 acres in an isolated area of Mariposa County on Sunday afternoon.

The Hunter Fire started just after one o’clock. It was situated near Hunters Valley Road and Cotton Creek Road, east of Lake McClure.

There were no evacuation orders or advisories in place, and no structures were damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The forward progress was stopped late in the afternoon. Fire officials are still working on containment.
