Busy Week For Traffic Projects On Mother Lode Highways

Published May 27, 2026 10:16 am

Jamestown, CA — Traffic is getting backed up in some areas of the Mother Lode today due to Caltrans projects.

In one of those spots, on Highway 108/49 near Rolling Hills Blvd in Jamestown, the CHP was requested to respond this morning for additional traffic control. There have been notable delays in that area due to Caltrans drainage work running today through Friday, from 7 am – 4 pm.

We previewed this week’s work in a story published on Sunday, which can be found here.

It notes that work is also underway in various other locations along Highways 108, 120, 4, and 49.
