Update at 9:50 a.m.: A second fire in the same spot as a blaze on Friday afternoon in the Clements area of Eastern San Joaquin County was reignited, according to CAL Fire dispatch. Flames erupted in a smoldering chip pile in the burn scar that is located in the 20400 block of Acampo Road and Clements Road off Highway 12 and west of the Camanche Reservoir. That is the scene where CAL Fire was called yesterday around 2 p.m. to battle and then contain a 20-acre blaze.
Crews currently on the scene will remain mopping up and checking on hot spots for the next couple of hours.
Original post at 9:15 a.m.: Clements, CA — For the second day in a row, CAL Fire TCU crews are being called to the Clements area in Eastern San Joaquin County for a report of a vegetation fire.
The flames are located in the same area as yesterday’s 20-acre grass fire, detailed here, in the vicinity of Clements Road and Acampo Road off Highway 12 and west of the Camanche Reservoir. CAL Fire reports that six engines are heading to the scene. It is unclear as to whether is a possible hot spot the reignited. An update will be provided as soon as new information comes into the newsroom.
