Crash Ignites Fire Near New Melones

Tuolumne County, CA — Firefighters have stopped the spread of a fire that burned a vehicle and spread to some nearby vegetation near Reynolds Ferry Road and New Melones Reservoir.

The CHP indicates that it was ignited by a vehicle accident that has required an ambulance to respond. Be prepared for continued activity in that area throughout the afternoon. The fire ignited at around 1:30pm.
