Pinecrest, CA — The Power Fire in the Stanislaus National Forest is now 25 percent contained.
Forest Service Spokesperson Jerry Snyder says the fire has grown to 824 acres. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. The fire started along the eastern edge of Beardsley Lake and is running parallel to Highway 108. The Highway remains open to traffic. Click here to view a map of the area.
Tuolumne County Health Officials continue to advise residents to limit exposure to smoky conditions, notably those with medical conditions, the elderly and young children. The fire is expected to burn for an extended period.
