Firefighters are on scene of a second blaze in the Stanislaus National Forest. It is 200 acres at this time and spreading quickly according to Forest Spokesperson Jerry Snyder. It is on Cherry Lake Road east of Groveland.
The blaze was spotted while crews were putting out another fire along Cottonwood Road in the Stanislaus National Forest near Basin Creek. Officials say the first fire was 2-3 acres and they have a handle on it. We will bring you more information as soon as it is available.
