Buck Meadows, CA — The Rim Fire in the Stanislaus National Forest has jumped over the Tuolumne River and is along Highway 120.
The CHP says that Highway 120 is still closed from Ferretti Road to Cherry Lake Road. To view a map, click here. An evacuation center is being set up at Tioga High School on Ferretti Road in Groveland. The Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office is calling for voluntary evacuations in the Buck Meadows area. The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office is calling for advisory evacuations at the San Jose Family Camp, Rainbow Pool, Yosemite Inn, and the Spinning Wheel Forest Service Facility. Additional outside resources are being called in to help battle the blaze.
