Rim Fire Over 105,000 Acres

Groveland, CA — Fire officials have two percent containment on the Rim Fire in the Stanislaus National Forest.

This morning the operation officially transferred over to a Type One incident response. Yesterday Governor Jerry Brown issued a State of Emergency, opening the door for additional state money and resources. The estimated acreage is 105,620.

Last night the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office placed an evacuation order on Unit 12 of the Pine Mountain Lake subdivision. That area includes Hillcroft Drive, Yorkshire Road, Lake Spur, Clements Road, Cliffton Way, Neil Court, Hemlock Street, Woodside Way, Owl Court, Iris Court, Jimmersail Lane and Beaver Court. The rest of Pine Mountain Lake remains under an advisory evacuation notice.
