TUD: All Customers Stop Outdoor Watering

Sonora, CA — T.U.D is asking all customers in the district to stop outdoor watering and turnoff irrigation systems until further notice.

General Manager Pete Kampa says, “We feel it is necessary for us to ask our customers for their assistance in making sure our water storage tanks are at full capacity. This is a proactive measure we are taking in case more water is needed due to the Rim fire. We want to make sure our water storage tanks are at their maximum capacity for fire protection efforts if needed.”

T.U.D. thanks the public for its cooperation and assistance during these efforts.
