Rim Fire: Tax Deadline Extension For Businesses Impacted

Tuolumne County, CA — Employers directly impacted by the Rim Fire can request a 60-day extension when it comes to filing state payroll reports and depositing payroll taxes.

Senator Tom Berryhill’s Office reports that requests can be submitted to the state’s EDD, and those businesses deemed impacted will receive an extension without any type of penalty or interest. Click here for more information. Anyone with questions can also contact EDD’s Taxpayer Assistance Center at 1-888-745-3886.

On a related note, the Tuolumne County Economic Development Authority has set up a website were business owners can find forms to fill out related to damages from the Rim Fire. It can be found by clicking here.
