Standard, CA — Several fire engines responded to Curtis Creek Elementary School this morning for a report of smoke coming from one of the buildings.
Emergency officials arrived and thankfully there was no fire. A CAL Fire official reports that the smoke was coming from a malfunctioning HVAC system. The call came into dispatch shortly after 7:30am. Firefighters were quickly released from the incident. The school is located on Standard Road.
