Tuolumne County, CA — Forest Service officials have put a containment line around the Meadow Fire in the Stanislaus National Forest.
It was first spotted yesterday afternoon in the area known as Strawberry Peak. Early reports were that the fire was 1 ½ acres, but updated GPS mapping puts the fire closer to only a half-acre. Forest Service Spokesperson Veronica Garcia reports that officials are on scene this morning investigating the cause.
In addition, there still two engines, one crew, and one water tender assigned. Click here to view a map of the area.
