Update at 5:50 p.m.: CAL Fire dispatch reports that crews have stopped the forward rate on the “Murray Fire” burning in the Mokelumne Hill area of Calaveras County. The flames ignited in some grass along the 5500 block of Hawver Road, between Jesus Maria and Doster roads, east of Highway 49 around 4 p.m. Crews will remain on scene working toward full containment and mopping up into the evening.
