Tuolumne County, CA — Cal Fire reports the fire is now 40 % contained at 287 acres.
Crews are still battling the blaze from the ground and air with 10 engines, 3 dozers, 4 hand crews, 4 air tankers, 2 helicopters and 3 water tenders. There have been no structures threatened or any injuries. In addition, the Tuolumne County Fire Department is assisting.
The blaze was started when a car went off J-59, hit a boulder and flipped, igniting the flames. Click here for more details on the crash.
