Cedar Ridge, CA — Firefighters and Columbia Air Attack are heading to a vegetation fire in Cedar Ridge. The flames broke out on Brookside Drive near Estralita Drive. There is no word on size, rate of spread or whether any structures are threatened at this time. We will bring you more information as soon as it comes into the newsroom.

Update: 6 pm: Cal Fire reports Forest Service crews are on scene already battling the flames and it is a small fire. No structures are threatened.
Update 6:10 pm: The Forest Service reports the fire is half an acre in size.
Update 6:20 pm: Cal Fire reports there are two fires near each other in Cedar Ridge. One was a spot fire that is contained and the other is a half acre in size, but Cal Fire says the forward progress has been stopped.
