Haigh Fire Contained

Coulterville, CA — Cal Fire reports the Haigh fire is contained at 130 acres.

The flames broke out Tuesday after 3 pm on Highway 49 near Haigh Road north of Coulterville in Mariposa County. Crews attacked the blaze from the ground and air.  At the height of the fire, there were 330 firefighters, 32 engines, 12 fire crews, 4 air tankers, 4 helicopters, 7 dozers and 4 water tenders on scene. Columbia Air Attack and the Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit of Cal Fire assisted in battling the fire.

What sparked the blaze is still under investigation.  No structures were destroyed or damaged in the flames.
