Sonora, CA — Firefighters and Columbia Air Attack are heading to a vegetation fire in Mountain Ranch. The flames broke out on the 5000 block of Stagecoach Hill Road near Old Emigrant Trail east. There is no word on size, rate of spread, or whether any structures are threatened at this time.
We will bring you more information as soon as it is available.
Update: 5:30 pm: Cal Fire reports the fire is 3-5 acres with a moderate rate of spread in oak woodland and brush type vegetation. There are 3 structures immediately threatened.
Update: 5:50 pm: Cal Fire reports the forward rate of spread has been stopped. There are no more threats to structures.
