Highway 108 Opened

Sonora, CA — Traffic is moving once again on Highway 108 as fire crews remain on the scene of a fire.

The one half acre vegetation fire along near Lime Kiln Road had blocked the westbound lane, but the CHP has just reported that section of the road is open. Highway 108 traffic was diverted to Mono Way starting at about Noon. Cal Fire was able to stop the rate of spread around 1 pm. Cal Fire reports crews will remain on scene doing mop up into the evening.
