Bridgeport, CA — Columbia Air Attack is headed to a vegetation fire in Mariposa County that is threatening several structures.
Cal Fire reports seven acres are burning in the Bridgeport area, which is southwest of Mariposa. The flames broke out just before 1 pm. Cal Fire reports crews are getting a handle on the flames, but there is no containment at this time. There was no word on how many structures are threatened. No evacuations have been ordered.

Update: 3 pm: Cal Fire reports the forward rate of spread has been stopped and there is no longer a threat to area structures. Also, Columbia Air Attack has been called off the fire.
