Mariposa Fire Contained

Bridgeport, CA — Firefighters have contained a vegetation fire in Mariposa County at seven acres.

Columbia Air Attack assisted in battling the blaze that broke out in the Bridgeport area, which is southwest of Mariposa. Initially several structures in the area were threatened. That threat was mitigated about an hour into the fire, which started just before 1 pm. No structures were damaged in the blaze.
