Oakhurst, CA — All evacuation orders have been lifted on the blaze that is burning in Madera County south of Yosemite National Park. In addition, all roadways have been reopened.
Cal Fire reports the flames are 65% contained with 612 acres have burned near the town of Oakhurst. 47 structures have been destroyed, 39 of them were outbuildings. Several schools in the area were closed today.
This morning nearly 2,200 firefighters battled the blaze, but that number has been reduced today to just over 1,300.
