Moccasin, CA – Cal Fire reports the Jackson Fire is 100% contained at 68 acres.
Firefighters and Columbia air resources began battling the blaze on Thursday just before noon. The vegetation fire broke out on Jacksonville Road at the intersection of Highway 49 near the Moccasin Point Marina.
Today, a small crew of 25 firefighters, including two engines and one hand crew worked throughout the day to fully contain the flames. Cal Fire reports a patrol will continue mopping up efforts tomorrow.
