Updated: Fire West Of Jamestown

Updated at noon: The fire was contained at around 10 acres.

Original story at 10:55am:  You may notice some smoke and firefighting activity near Highway 108 west of Jamestown.

CAL Fire reports that there is a 6-8 acre vegetation fire in the vicinity of the Montezuma Junction. The forward progress has been stopped. CAL Fire reports that the fire is a good distance away from the highway, so it is not impacting traffic. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
