Cal Fire Lifts Its Burn Ban

San Andreas, CA – Begin Beginning next week, residents can once again burn debris piles, but there will still be hourly restrictions.

The recent rains and cooler temperatures prompted the lifting of the burn permit suspension. Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit of CAL FIRE will lift the ban beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 9, for Tuolumne, Calaveras County, Eastern Stanislaus and Eastern San Joaquin counties.  However, the hours of burning will be restricted to nights from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m. on permissible burn days. It is residents’ responsibility to check burn day status by calling their local Air Pollution Control District listed below:
