Knights Ferry Fire Contained At Seven Acres

Knights Ferry, CA — Firefighters extinguished a seven acre grass fire this afternoon in the area of Kennedy Road and Sonora Road near the community of Knights Ferry.

It was in the area near Highway 108. Air and ground resources responded from the Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit of CAL Fire, and additional resources were dispatched from Stanislaus County. Firefighters are still on scene doing mop-up operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
