Burson, CA — The 83-acre Cheyenne Fire in Calaveras County is now 100-percent contained.
The fire was ignited Wednesday afternoon by a lawnmower in the area of Cheyenne Way, south of Camanche Reservoir. Two outbuildings were destroyed and an additional one was damaged. Two trailers were also destroyed. Several nearby homes were evacuated for a short period yesterday afternoon, but they have now been allowed to return. Click here to find yesterday’s complete recap.
