Update: Grass Fire Near Tuolumne Contained

Update at 5:31 p.m.: CAL Fire dispatch reports that a grass fire in Tuolumne on Yosemite Road by Anderson Road was contained at roughly a quarter-acre. Although the scene cleared, the cause has not yet been released.

Update at 2:40 p.m.: CAL Fire reports all Columbia air resources were returned to base as ground resources continue to work on a grass fire on Yosemite Road by Anderson Road near Tuolumne. CAL Fire dispatch states the fire is contained, no structures are threatened and crews are expected to remain on-scene for another hour. No word yet on size, although it appears to have been contained at around or under an acre. The cause is still under investigation.

Original Post at 2:25 p.m.: San Andreas, CA – CAL Fire dispatch reports that a helicopter from Columbia airbase and other resources initially responded to a reported grass fire in Tuolumne.

According to CAL Fire, the incident is located in the 17000 block of Yosemite Road near Anderson Road and that air resources have just been called off. Although there are few details, including size, forward progress was reported as stopped.
