Update at 6:15 p.m.: CAL Fire dispatch reports a fire that broke out late in the four o’clock hour was officially contained at just under ten acres. Located on Middle Bar Road off Highway 49 south of Jackson, it remains under investigation. No structures were threatened, according to officials.
Update: at 5:32 p.m.: Among the resources working an Amador County fire Monday evening included an air tanker from Columbia airbase. According to CAL Fire dispatch, the other Columbia tanker was called to work a Fresno incident and other air resources were being called off the Amador fire. Located on Middle Bar Road off Highway 49 south of Jackson, the blaze is still described as eight to ten acres with a moderate rate of spread with no other details currently available.
Original Post at 5:16 p.m.: San Andreas, CA — CAL Fire reports that Columbia air resources are among those now assisting with a fire that broke out along Middle Bar Road off Highway 49, south of Jackson.
It is unknown if any structures are threatened but it was reported to have ignited late in the four o’clock hour, and is being described by CAL Fire dispatch as eight to ten acres in size, moving at a moderate rate of spread.
