Update: Air, Ground Resources Responding To Cedar Ridge Fire

Update at 11:40am: Air resources assigned to the residential structure fire in Cedar Ridge have been released from the incident. Mop up operations continue at the home in the area of Brookside Drive at Hillside Drive as firefighters work to fully extinguish the blaze. CAL Fire spokesperson Lindy Shoff says the fire damaged one home and two vehicles. In addition, some nearby trees caught on fire. What ignited the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.

Update at 11 a.m.:  CAL Fire reports that air and ground resources are working a structure fire in the Cedar Ridge area, east of Sonora that broke out late in the 10 o’clock hour. The location is described as Brookside Drive at Hillside Drive. A structure is fully engulfed in flames and two vehicles are also involved. However, CAL Fire says there is no extension into the vegetation.

Original Post @ 10:51 a.m.: Sonora, CA —  If you hear planes in the air, CAL Fire reports that air and ground resources are responding to a possible structure fire involving vegetation in Cedar Ridge, east of Sonora.

The location is described as Brookside Drive at Hillside Drive. We will provide more details when they become available.
