Update: Air, Ground Respond To Reported Fire East of Groveland

Update at 8:43 a.m.: CAL Fire dispatch states that the vegetation fire east of Groveland, reported at an acre-and-a-half, has a hose line around it, although forward rate of progress has not stopped. Air resources have been released however, along with some of the ground response units. The cause is still under investigation.

Original Post at 8:20 a.m.: San Andreas, CA — CAL Fire air and ground resources are responding to a reported vegetation fire off Highway 120 near Big Creek Shaft Road, between Groveland and Buck Meadows.

Early indications are that it may be around an acre in size. Response has been elevated from an augmented to a high-level dispatch. We will provide more details as soon as they are available.
