Firefighters Extinguishing Groveland Fire

Groveland, CA — Firefighters have quickly stopped the forward rate of spread of a one acre vegetation fire in Groveland.

The fire ignited in the 20000 block of Longview Street around 3:40pm. Aircraft from Columbia was dispatched to the scene, but quickly released back to base. A couple of engines will remain on scene mopping up the incident. There is one home situated nearby but it was not impacted by the fire. What ignited the fire is under investigation.
