Firefighters Quickly Contain A Blaze In Calaveras County

Valley Springs, CA — Ground and Columbia air resources were able to extinguish the flames in a matter of minutes once on scene.

The flames broke out in the 3400 block of Highway 12 near Highway 49 in Calaveras County. They were moving at a slow rate of spread heading downhill up to the roadway on the west side of the highway. Cal Fire reports the blaze was contained at a 1/4 of an acre. No structures were threatened.
